OysterBASH

Each October, Family Weekend brings parents, grandparents, and siblings to campus for several days packed with opportunities to share in school life. The weekend includes CRMS’s primary fundraising event - OysterBASH, a raffle and silent auction, and Coffee House, a musical talent show featuring students and faculty. Raffle items have included unique vacation home rentals, specialty event tickets, a local home package, a luxury spa, and sporting events. Our Silent Auction items are created by our talented CRMS faculty, students and alumni. If you have an idea or a unique raffle item to donate, please contact Special Events Coordinator, Elizabeth Reynolds. All of the proceeds from the 2016 event benefit the CRMS Arts & Active Programs.

  • Donate a Unique Raffle Item (vacation homes, specialty event tickets, etc.)
  • Purchase Raffle Tickets
  • Purchase Reserve Seating for Coffee House

Scholarship Work Day - Saturday, May 13, 2017

In 1965, students initiated the Scholarship Work Day event to help make a CRMS education available to others, regardless of their economic status. Every year since then, crews of students and faculty have spent this day working in the greater Carbondale community doing household jobs, such as yard work, painting, cleaning, and landscaping, to help raise money to support the CRMS Scholarship Fund.

CRMS currently provides over $2 million annually in financial assistance to its students, many of whom are local-area students who choose the unique educational experience that CRMS provides. This year, 39% of all the students at CRMS receive some level of financial aid.

In addition to the money raised by the student work crews, the primary source of funding for Scholarship Work Day comes from local community sponsors and family supporters. In these challenging economic times, the need for scholarships is greater than ever. Your sponsorship will help ensure the continued success of Scholarship Work Day.
