WHAT OUR STUDENTS & PARENTS ARE SAYING
CRMS educates the whole student. Graduates continue to be life-long learners and responsible citizens of the world. It’s a unique and powerful education in the Rocky Mountains.
Fantastic school with fantastic programs. This school has a special place in my heart.
Best thing I ever did was go to Colorado Rocky Mountain School. It was a magical time and where I made friends for life.

SSAT
The SSAT is a virtually unspeeded assessment, meaning that most students have adequate time to consider each question. Students in grades 8 -11 are assessed on their verbal, math, and reading skills. A non-scored writing sample is also included to assess writing ability. The SSAT often concludes with an experimental section that isn’t scored or reported but is essential to validating future questions. Learn more and register at https://www.ssat.org/about/about-the-ssat
CRMS is test-optional for the 2023-24 admission cycle.

Oystermeister: Climb
Wednesday, December 13, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
What is Oystermeister? Seven times each school year, students and faculty come together for a school-wide, fun-for-all athletic event. Students pay an entry fee of $1 each to participate and all funds raised support student clubs. Regardless of ability, we invite the entire CRMS community to join in – and don’t forget your school spirit, costume, and friendly competition!
The 7 events are:
- Open water pond swim and party
- Campus course cycling time trial
- 2.5-mile trail run on Tick Ridge
- Rock climbing – bouldering in the CRMS Gym
- 5K Nordic ski (skate or classic) at Spring Gulch
- Alpine downhill at the Snowmass Ski Area NASTAR course
- Kayaking race starting at River Valley Ranch and ending at CRMS
