Vince Kim P’26

Trustee

Appointed 2025

Affiliation: Current Parent
Occupation: Venture capital investor and entrepreneur
Degrees: AB, Princeton University

Background: I serve or have served as Chairman of Crownhall Group, Partner at Aberdare Ventures and Founder of Cricket Health. As a parent, I’ve been actively engaged with boarding and independent schools including CRMS, Choate Rosemary Hall, Oregon Episcopal School and San Francisco Day School. Across our family, we are alumni of NOLS and Outward Bound.

1) What inspired you to join the CRMS Board?
The education at CRMS is distinct, grounded in the Holdens’ original vision of a holistic, hands-on education shaped by challenge, community, responsibility, and a deep connection to the natural world. That vision remains alive today and is as relevant as ever. As a current parent, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative impact CRMS has on its students, and I feel privileged to help ensure that this rare and important educational experience endures.

2) What do you value most about CRMS?
From the very beginning, students quite literally helped build the school, and that ethos continues today. Alongside rigorous college-preparatory academics, students build furniture, care for animals, plant gardens, clear fields, and help maintain the campus. Outdoor and experiential learning in this extraordinary mountain setting brings classroom learning to life, while putting leadership, teamwork, competence, and self-reliance into daily practice. CRMS’ culture develops students who are competent, confident and high-agency, while remaining grounded in humility and a strong sense of purpose and belonging.

3) What are you most excited about as you embark on your new role as Trustee?
I look forward to working alongside the talented faculty, staff, parents, and Trustees who are so deeply committed to CRMS and its mission. I’m also energized by the opportunity to broaden awareness of CRMS and its distinctive—and deeply needed—approach to education among families who may not yet know it exists. I’m excited to help ensure that this extraordinary educational experience continues to reach new generations of students who will go on to make a meaningful impact in their communities and in the world.
