Sierra is a proud graduate of Colorado Rocky Mountain School (’97) and deeply values the lasting impact her time at the school has had on her life. She returns to campus with the same passion and energy for the school she had when she graduated (she was a recipient of the Community Service Award) in addition to a fulfilling career in education. Sierra has a passion for equity and inclusion as well as experiential and outdoor education. Prior to becoming the Director of Active Curriculum, she taught middle and high school students in a wide variety of subjects, including Language Arts, Math, Science, and Art. She has also coached kayaking, telemark skiing, cross-training fitness, and nordic skiing. In her free time, she can be found playing outdoors with her teenage children, gardening, knitting, cooking, and slowly learning to play the guitar.
