BA, History - Williams College

MA, Holocaust and Genocide Studies - Gratz College (in progress)

Appointed 2022

Beth grew up in Portland, Oregon, hitting the Cascade Mountains for adventures in both winters and summers. She attended college back East and stayed and taught at three different boarding schools.  Beth has taught a variety of history courses, coached many different sports, and taken students on trips outdoors or abroad. In her free time, her two favorite things are running and reading. She also bikes, hikes, downhill skis, xc skis, and travels to Europe or their lake house in Nova Scotia (She’s married to Volker, our new science faculty member). Beth is excited to work with students in and outside the classroom at CRMS, especially to participate in the three off-campus trips offered throughout the year. Carbondale looks like an amazing place to explore and CRMS looks like a great place to teach and learn alongside students.
