Annie Oppenheim

Director of the (HS)2 Program

BA, History and Education Policy, Dartmouth College

MEd, Education, Harvard University

Appointed 2019

My primary role at CRMS is directing the (HS)² Summer Program. In addition to leading (HS)², I am a devoted student advisor and occasionally serve as a cross-country coach and trip leader. I enjoy being outside with students and helping create meaningful experiences both on campus and beyond.

I love running the (HS)² program because it highlights everything wonderful about CRMS and shares it with more students who deserve new, challenging, and enriching opportunities. Before joining (HS)², I taught in public, private, and charter schools, experiences that shaped my belief that (HS)² offers a unique kind of magic that can be difficult to cultivate during the regular school year.

I live in Carbondale with my husband and dog. When I’m not on campus, I love reading, listening to audiobooks, trail running, and spending time with loved ones by the Crystal River.
