Appointed 2025
Amy Topchik believes that education is a lifelong journey. Originally from the coast of Maine, she is thrilled to join the faculty at Colorado Rocky Mountain School, where the classroom extends from the lab to the mountains to the stage. She earned her B.A. in International Affairs and Spanish from the University of Maine, cementing her belief in the importance of cross-cultural cooperation and communication. Outside the classroom, Amy worked for the university’s outdoor recreation program, which eventually led her to Outward Bound, NOLS, and now CRMS. She is inspired by the way outdoor expeditions nurture play, curiosity, and resilience—and she strives to bring these same values into all aspects of her teaching.
