Colorado Rocky Mountain School Celebrates Successful Reaccreditation

by Beth Smith

We’re pleased to announce that Colorado Rocky Mountain School has been reaccredited by the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS) through 2036. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience that combines rigorous academics with experiential learning in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

The comprehensive accreditation process included an in-depth review of our academic programs, student life, facilities, and outcomes for both our boarding and day students. CRMS also served as a pilot school for ACIS’s newly revised standards and protocols, contributing to the broader independent school community.

The ACIS board recognized several key strengths of the CRMS experience:

  • Strong student and staff relationships that create a supportive, connected community
  • Experienced leadership guiding the school’s vision and growth
  • Strong long-term financial management ensuring institutional stability
  • Impressive facilities upgrades that enhance the learning environment
  • Exemplary mission and program congruence that keeps our unique values at the center of everything we do

The board also noted the remarkable improvements and developments that have occurred at CRMS over the last decade, affirming our commitment to continuous growth and excellence.

This reaccreditation affirms that CRMS continues to meet the highest standards for independent schools while staying true to our unique mission. We’re grateful to our faculty, staff, students, and families who make our school community thrive.
