Betsy joined the CRMS community in the fall of 2002 when her older son enrolled as a student, followed by her younger son in the fall of 2005. She officially began her CRMS career in 2004 as Trip Prep Coordinator—after innocently signing her name to a clipboard at a parent meeting.
At the same time, Betsy began volunteering in College Counseling, where she was officially hired as an assistant in the fall of 2005, later served as acting director, and became Director of College Counseling in 2007.
Determined to fully immerse herself in the CRMS community, Betsy embraced an assortment of roles over the years, including being a Dorm Parent, Senior Project Co-Coordinator, Interim Leader, Trip Co-Leader, Test Coordinator, and Ceramics Work Crew Leader. Each role offered something she valued deeply: opportunities to connect with students, learn from and laugh with colleagues, and participate fully in the remarkable community that is CRMS.
For Betsy, CRMS has always been much more than a workplace—it has been a community of students and colleagues who have enriched her life, challenged her, and given her countless reasons to be grateful for that innocent clipboard signature many years ago.
