Mallie credits CRMS with changing the trajectory of her life — teaching her to open herself up to new experiences and to feel fully seen within a community, values she has carried with her ever since. A working artist based in New England, Mallie holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MAT from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She spent a decade as a visual arts educator and gallery director at Pingree School in Hamilton, MA, and continues to teach independent workshops and mentor high school and college age art students. Her artwork has been exhibited widely across New England, and she serves on the Board of Advisors and the Art and Nature Center Committee at the Peabody Essex Museum. Mallie brings to the Board a rare combination of artistic vision, arts administration, and deep firsthand knowledge of what a CRMS education can mean in a young person’s life. Mallie and her husband Stuart and their two children enjoy skiing, hiking, tennis, and spending time with their dogs.
