Renée has dedicated her career to the world of outdoor programming and education. She graduated from Prescott College in 2015, where she married her competencies in their Adventure Education program with their Teacher Certification Program. This included hands-on practice with backcountry group management skills, participation on the local search and rescue team, exposure to a wide breadth of outdoor recreation, and training in the behind-the-scenes logistics planning for all of the above. Specifically, she honed in on how to integrate outdoor programming into an academic setting. She has spent the last several years dividing her time between various professional academic roles, guiding trips through the Southwest wilderness areas, and serving as a Program Director for a sailing company in the British Virgin Islands. Her favorite part of her job is facilitating trainings and conversations with other educators about how to utilize the outdoors to deliver meaningful student experiences.
