Rachel was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah where she grew up exploring the Wasatch Front skiing, hiking, biking, paddling, and climbing. She graduated from the University of Utah where she studied the positive effects of time spent in nature on cognitive functioning. In addition, she studied ceramics and went on to co-found a public studio on the garden island of Kaua’i. Rachel is excited to return to the mountain west to work with the ceramics program and explore the Roaring Fork Valley with students and faculty alike!
