Josh grew up on the Front Range of Colorado and rapidly developed an appreciation for outdoor spaces and a curiosity for understanding nature through a mathematical lens. This led to Josh obtaining his B.S. in Environmental Engineering at CU Boulder and finding work at the U.S. Geological Survey’s Integrated Water Chemistry Assessment Laboratory. Josh has since worked with youth education programs, youth trail crews, guiding services, and programs addressing homelessness. These experiences have shown him the therapeutic benefit that wilderness exposure and holistic education hold, particularly for youth. Josh is thrilled to use his position at CRMS to support students in their growth as individuals, community members, and budding mathematicians who connect math to the real world.
