Jennifer Ogilby

Dean of Students; Modern Language Faculty

BA, International Studies, Vassar College

MA, Private School Leadership, Columbia University

Appointed 1996

What do you do on campus?
I teach Spanish 1, coach Strength and Conditioning and tennis, advise senior boys, and am the Dean of Students.

What is your favorite School tradition?
I love our last formal dinner, the Awards Dinner with the Oystermeister Ceremony.

What are the benefits of the School’s Advisory system?
Connection. This is a space for a small group of students and teachers to truly get to know each other on a level that approaches family.

What is your favorite part of being the Dean of Students?
My interactions with students are highly individualized, and I think this ends up being powerful for both me and the student. Additionally, these interactions often happen after a mishap or tender moment in their lives. There is, therefore, room for significant transformation, growth, and connection in moments like these.
