Jaymeson Leo

Active Program

Colorado Mountain College, Exercise Science

Appointed 2022

Jaymeson Leo is a lifelong lover of the outdoors and an avid believer in the power of the wilderness as a place for, healing, growth, connection, and empowerment. Having grown up in Vail and Carbondale, she has been skiing and climbing since she was young. Jaymeson studied Exercise Science at CMC. For the past thirty years, she has worked as an artist, carpenter, and craftsperson – all the while continuing to find her space in the outdoors as a mountain bike cross country/enduro racer and athletic trainer.  As head coach for a New York youth mountain biking league, she took her team to third place in the state for five years and worked proudly to expand, support, and empower the girls’ team. Jaymeson is excited to be back in the valley after 28 years in NYC, where she raised two wonderful kids and a small pack of dogs (who have happily made the journey home with her).
