SUMMARY:PSAT Testing - Required for 9th\, 10th & 11th-Grade Students
DESCRIPTION:The PSAT test is required for all 9th-11th grade students.\nThe PSAT for 11th grade students is the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test. \nReview the October 6 – 10 Special Schedule for PSAT Testing and Wellness Days for testing times.  \nThe College Board’s PSAT provides you\, your child\, and the school with information on how well students are reaching benchmarks for college readiness. PSAT scores are a good indicator of how students will perform on the SAT. PSAT data is also helpful to the school as we align our academic curriculum with College Board benchmarks. Overall\, CRMS students outperform the national averages in demonstrating growth over time on College Board assessments. \n*PSAT test scores are not reported to colleges.\n*When score reports are posted in December\, we strongly encourage students to link their College Board account with Khan Academy so they can make use of this robust study tool. \nIf you have any questions or a conflict\, please contact Nancy Draina\, Academic Dean.

SUMMARY:Guest Educator: Jen Cort
DESCRIPTION:DEI educator Jen Cort\, will be visiting with various CRMS cohorts on campus\, including students\, teachers\, and staff. \nJen is a diversity practitioner\, author\, podcast host\, school counselor\, trustee\, coach\, speaker\, consultant\, and activist. She has served as a principal\, school administrator\, and school counselor\, and is also a boarding school parent\, who works throughout the US and in multiple countries. \nVisit her website to learn more about her work. \nJen Cort’s Philosophy: \nAll schools should collaborate within and among themselves to create child-centered environments. Jen believes that schools must provide environments where students can be seen and heard to learn to be visible and use their voices in ways that work for them. Helping students be seen and listened to is a mutual obligation. Schools create safe places for students to take academic risks\, speak their minds\, try a new sport\, audition for the play\, celebrate their authentic selves\, and learn communication methods. \n\nTo accomplish these goals\, healthy schools have: \n\nExpectations for the development of self-advocacy skills\nStrong advisory programs\nTransparency is balanced with confidentiality.\nAssessment of the program\, faculty as well as students\nCollaboration within the school as well as with the more incredible world\nActive and dynamic diversity programsStudent leadership programs\nInteractive and collaborative relationships between the administration\, faculty\, parents\, and students
