What inspired you to join the CRMS Board of Trustees? Our family became involved at CRMS in 2005 when our daughter arrived on campus. I got involved with the school including volunteering for the phone-a-thon for the Annual Fund, painting the Bar Fork, and inviting work student teams to our home on Scholarship Work Day. I was immediately drawn into the community spirit and family feel of the school. Our children were having such a good experience, and I wanted to be a part of that too! I was appointed to be a Parent Representative to the Board in 2008 and the board in 2009.

What do you value most about CRMS? The teamwork between the Board of Trustees and our Head of School, Jeff Leahy. Over the years I’ve seen the continual work to improve the programs and campus, while striving towards the original intent of the founders of the school, Anne and John Holden. They envisioned CRMS to be a “model home and a complete community” achieved through learning, living, and working together.

What are you most excited about your role as Trustee? I am about to rotate off the board after many years of service, and I am so proud of the accomplishments of CRMS. What a difference between 2005 and 2020! There are so many more exciting things to do in the coming years and I’m looking forward to supporting CRMS in their endeavors.
