B.S. in University Studies with a Medical Humanities certification, University of Texas at Arlington

Appointed 2022

I graduated in 2021 from the University of Texas at Arlington, obtaining a B.S in University studies and a Medical Humanities certification. While in college, I traveled around the U.S and out of the country to experience and learn from other cultures. Upon graduating, I used my experiences to expand on my mother’s business, a hair salon in South Arlington. The goal was to use my business as a vessel to educate and connect the black community. It is known that “knowledge is power” and “It’s about who you know, not what you know.” Through lively discussions and actively connecting my clients and peers to each other, I have already seen growth in my community! Although the growth of this salon was my priority, my passion is to attend medical school and see as much of the world as possible.

My graduation from [HS]2 in 2016 was the best experience I could have asked for, and I gained so many memories. Being on the CRMS campus every summer gave me a love for Colorado and has me excited to be a part of the team creating the learning foundation for the boarding scholars. I didn’t realize it at the time, but [HS]2 left me craving hiking and experiencing the outdoors as much as possible. My hobbies include reading medical magazines, playing fetch with my pup, driving 6+ hours for the sights, and telling everyone I know the things I did, learned, and met who have impacted my life.
