Senior Interim
The seniors traveled to the Hopi and Navajo reservations during interim for cultural immersion and service learning. The service learning component had students working for the Hopi community helping elderly citizens, village clean-up, work in orchards or other farm work and/or painting. Another project this year included donating and installing some of CRMS’ older computers. Hopi artists visited with groups in the afternoons offering traditional bread making, carving of Kachina dolls, weaving and silversmithing. There was an opportunity for petroglyph tours as well as a hike in Canyon de Chelly.
