Glassblowing Interim
This interim provided an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of hot glass. After an extensive safety orientation, we covered the basic techniques of gathering and shaping molten glass. We learned to work with clear and colored glass to make paper weights, flowers, and blown vessels. Teamwork was a vital element and was developed though out the week. In the past we visited other studios and galleries, but most students felt that staying and working in our own studio was more valuable.
