Team Pursuits

Soccer

The CRMS soccer program provides an alternative athletic experience to our predominantly individualized sports by fielding a girls' and boys' Varsity squad that epitomizes the team ethic and dynamic intrinsic to the game itself. We participate in the Colorado High School 3A League and, at times, play non-league games with larger schools. The soccer program emphasizes skilled play, physical conditioning, and team building as essential components of the sport. The boys field a Varsity and Junior Varsity team in the fall and the girls field a Varsity team in the spring, although all female participants are invited to play and are part of the squad. The soccer program is noted for its dedicated players, passionate coaches, and high level of engaged play.

Soccer – Boys’
Both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams are formed which participate in the Colorado High School 3A League. Varsity plays approximately 14 games with the goal of qualifying for state tournament play. The season starts a week before school with a skills camp and culminates with playoffs at the end of October. Practice is at least five days per week. In addition, when the season starts, there are two games per week.

Soccer – Girls’

Girls’ Varsity Soccer is offered in the spring and meets five days per week. When possible, both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams play. Practices begin in early March and consist of skill-building drills, conditioning, and scrimmaging. Approximately eight games are played during the season.
