2010-2011 REUNION

CRMS will host the next Reunion and Alumni Weekend Thursday, September 16 through Sunday, September 19, 2010, coinciding with the annual Founders' Day symposium. Alumni and former faculty from graduating years 1970 to 1979, and anniversary graduation years 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971,1976,1981,1986,1991,1996, 2001, and 2006 are invited back to campus to see friends and faculty, and to reconnect with this special place at a beautiful time of year. 2009-10 REUNION

This February, Colorado Rocky Mountain School hosted its first-ever winter Reunion combined with the Founders’ Day symposium, and Telluride MountainFilm on Tour. Our program of speakers (including three alumni), discussion sessions, feasts, films and activities allowed the forty alumni and guests opportunities to reconnect with one-another, interact with students and faculty and get outside in the beauty of winter in our valley. In short, attendees experienced a new kind of reunion, during which they could not only share memories with fellow alumni back on campus, but also meaningfully connect with the profound vitality of CRMS today.

Alumni speakers for Founders' Day, were author Paolo Bacigalupi ’90, cause-related marketer Simon Issacs ’99, and entreprenaur Beda Calhoun ’06, along with Dr. Boyno Benson Boyno, founder of SHARE (Student Health Assistance Rural Experience) Kenya.; great adventure and cultural films from Telluride MountainFilm on Tour; as well as traditional Reunion outdooor and gastronomic activities. Participating alumni and former faculty spoke very positively about their experience of returning to campus when school was in session.
