Getting Started on the Application Process
Admission Requirements for International Student
ApplicationInternational students complete the same Application for Admission as domestic students.
Testing
We require that applicants submit one test demonstrating English language proficiency. Students can take either the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL). It is strongly recommended that students take both tests. The scores should be forwarded directly to Colorado Rocky Mountain School. Eleventh grade students may submit SSAT, PSAT, or SAT scores.
• SSAT: Visit their website to register or call (609)683-4440. The Colorado Rocky Mountain School code: 2506.Interview
• TOEFL: Visit their website or call (877)863-3546 or (609)951-1100. CRMS does offer intermediate and advanced ESL (English as a Second Language). Admitted students typically score above 70 (out of 120) on the internet-based test. Admitted students who wish to place out of ESL typically score above 90 (out of 120). The Colorado Rocky Mountain School code is 6782.
International students must also have an interview with an Admission Officer. If an in-person interview is not possible, a telephone or skype interview can be arranged by contacting the office.
Acquiring a Visa
Once enrolled, international students will receive an I-20 form from the Admission Office in order to obtain an F-1 student visa from the US Embassy in their home country
