Admission Process

Thank you for your interest in Colorado Rocky Mountain School! We have an exceptional program and are excited you have chosen to explore it.

Admission to CRMS is selective. The Admission Committee seeks students who are curious, adventurous, and committed to high standards of intellectual and personal growth.

This portion of the website is designed to guide you through the application process. Follow the steps below to begin:

Inquire
Contact the Admission Office to request an Application Packet by calling 970-963-2562, or e-mailing admission@crms.org. This packet contains helpful forms and brochures, including our Viewbook, Curriculum Guide, CRMS documentary DVD, Tuition and Fees schedule, and Application for Admission.

Visit
Contact the Admission Office to arrange a campus visit and interview. (If a visit is impossible, a phone interview can be arranged.)

Apply
Complete and submit the Application for Admission with a $50 application fee ($100 for international applicants).  When you submit the application, be sure you have also taken the following steps (forms below are included in the Application for Admission):

1. Complete and submit the student questionnaire (form B within the application), which includes essays and short-answer questions.
2. Ask your current school to send academic transcripts. (Candidates for 9th grade should submit transcripts for 8th grade onward; candidates for 10th-12th grade should submit transcripts for 9th grade onward.)
3. Distribute teacher recommendation forms (forms D-F within the application) to current or previous teachers. When you give a form to a teacher, make sure to include a stamped envelope addressed to CRMS.

Test
Register for the next administration of the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) at www.ssat.org, indicating that the scores should be sent to CRMS (school code: 2506). The SSAT is administered several times each year at CRMS and in more than 200 cities worldwide. For dates, locations, and information, visit www.ssat.org. If you have already taken this test or the PSAT, SAT, or ACT, please have the scores sent to CRMS.

The Admission Committee reviews all completed applications to assess academic achievement, strength of character, and readiness and enthusiasm for our distinctive program.
